נַפָּצָא, נַפָּסָאm. (preced.) flax-beater, carder. Yeb.118b; Keth.75a דנ׳ גברא תיקרייהוכ׳ though the husband be a carder, his wife will call him out to the threshold and sit down (proud of her husband); (Ar. נפסא: a guardsman in the vegetable garden, denom. of נָפוֹס.
